International carry-on - cast iron teapot?

We will be flying back from Tokyo on Qantas in a couple of days.

One souvenir the boss has picked up is a cast iron teapot. Anyone know if that would be a problem going through security?

All you'll need is the camping stove and you'll be able to make a decent cup of tea on-board . I've had 2 large frying pans in my carry-on domestically and 10 kg stone sculptures internationally and never had a problem.

As long you don try and sneak it in your pocket you will be fine.

I generally travel with Camp ovens in my HL as It might have a bit of warm stew for the flight.

Leave a bit more time for the traditional tea ceremony and you should be fine.

No problems from Japan.They are used to tourists buying those tea pots.Heavy though aren't they.

They are heavy, but we're on business class, so should be OK.
