International transfer in Sydney or Melbourne?

Hi there, and hope everyone could enjoy the long weekend,

Another question regarding this particular trip.

We are coming from Gold Coast to Syd the afternoon before QF 11 on the next day. It is all on the same ticket. I was just concerned with the short transfer time on offer from Gold Coast the same morning of QF11

Will our luggage be checked through on the previous afternoon for the international flight the next morning or will we need to collect, take to our hotel and recheck in at international the next morning?

Thanks for all your valuable informatio

TQ
The luggage will not be checked through as you are transiting overnight.
You’ll need to collect and check it in next day at SYD T1

I can recommend the Rydges at T1 if you need a hotel.
Not cheap, but its directly opposite the T1 at SYD, and all flat.
Any other hotel will need a taxi or uber to T1, both ways.
Unless you plan to hire a car, ie drive yourself.

Unsure about the invite thing you are talking about, just flash your Platinum card and they'll let you in.
Not sure if you understand how that comes across, but not everyone can afford a card with a $1450 annual fee. For those of us with more plebeian Amex's they might come with a certain number of annual visits to the lounge which you can redeem.
