Just found out recently Iprimus is now charging a surcharge in CC's.

The Credit Card surcharge applies to all credit card payments made from October 2012. The surcharge amount is 1.25% for Visa and MasterCard and 3.75% for American Express or Diners Club.

Only found out when I saw the internet bill had risen in my CC statement. Not happy.

Anybody have a provider that does not charge surcharges on CC's?

Shouldn't the monthly fee and reliability of the connection be ahead of credit card surcharge?

I'm paying Exetel $50 per month for unlimited ADSL2+ and unlimited landline calls and unlimited calls to Optus mobile. I can go to TPG to avoid credit card surcharge but pay $10 more per month. Defeat the purpose.

AFAIK iPrimus has been doing this for a while. I've been with them for some time, and pay by direct debit - was looking at switching to Visa for the points but hesitated for this reason. Will likely switch to Optus for the Qantas points, next time they have a "sale" on, or likely after this upcoming trip, can't imagine them being worse quality than primus (though I have never had any negative experience from them, they are just not the bargain they once were. Anyone remember the $20 a month unlimited dial up back in the day?!).

TPG / Exetel / Dodo are all doing unlimited ADSL for $30 mark, so they are not far off.

Off topic but that is cheap for unlimited ADSL.

Is it ADSL2 speeds?

What is reliability like and also how much does a static IP cost? It is free on my plan.

Amnet are decent in Perth. I always get great service from them. Amex with no surcharge too.

Iprimus now accept postbillpay and guess what? You can pay now with paypal (which now accept AMEX) via postbillpay.
