It's too late to register new members as the game has started, but I was curious to know if any AFF members are playing also?

I bought Qantas shares along with a couple of banks,Wesfarmers and some BHP Billiton.

BTW according to the site registration has been extended to 22/2 which is today,I assume that means new members can register till midnight?

Been playing the game for about 4 years, rather enjoy it.

I haven't jumped in yet.. >_>

Im up to $52,947.72 today, thanks to my Wotif shares doing really well off their 1st Half results today...

Definitely a fun way to pass time in the office if you need a little distraction!

I played it last year and lost quite a bit of (virtual) money. (The stock market basically crashed!) Shouldn't have bought all those qantas shares ;)

Hayden it will be me shorting WTF (wotif) if the founder does another donation to a Tassie Polly so watch out if an election is called.
Did you see the tumble last time??

Back in the early 1980's this was promoted through schools and sponsored by various organisations to provide some nice prized for the best performing teams from schools in each state and nation-wide. I was part of a state winning team and we won a trip to Cairns and Mt Isa, which included an underground tour - MIM was one of the sponsors. Was a great experience.

However, as it was not our own money, and we were running about 20th at the start of the decision week, we decide to put everything (about 80K I think) into one mining company whose shares could be bought for about 5c each. Well we hit the jackpot and those shares went up to 8c each that week and we made something like 60% profit in a week and blitzed the competition!

My dark past as a Commerce teacher in NSW was around that time-I have recovered! The teams I had went well early in the piece but never seemed to jag a mining company on the rise in that last decision period
