Is Aussie Aussie Aussie an Appropriate Call in 2024?

Its better then the Welcome to Country they are shoving down our throats
ABC News is the worst. The introduction acknowledging only the traditional owners obviously got up someone's goat, so now there's an acknowledgement of anyone else with a connection to the land. After all the intros, there's not much time for news so they may as well go straight to the sports and weather.

'hello everyone' is disgustingly disrespectful and undignified. The correct form of address is 'Ladies and Gentlemen'.
But then I feel left out. :(

They should just leave the sport out, rather than put it before the weather to make you sit through the sport.

Sport, singular, by the way!
Although we'll give you a pass if you're from North America. :D

Given OP's question was...
Flying home yesterday DOH-ADL on QR, and when we landed, someone called out, "Welcome to Australia, Aussie, Aussie, Aussie." Was this appropriate in 2024, or was it ever?

...I would respectfully suggest that the discussion is veering off topic.

Whether or not airlines issue an "Acknowledgement of Country" or refer to passengers as "ladies and gentlemen" / "single-cell amoebas and multi-celled organisms" / etc, or whether the national broadcaster is acknowledging traditional owners / anyone with a connection to the land / all and sundry at the top of the news bulletin is not really pertinent to the topic of "is/was Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!" appropriate in 2024 or prior?

As it's a light hearted discussion there is no issue of some wandering so long as the topic still gets into the discussion a reasonable amount of the time. Now would probably be a good time for that.
