As a regular 3k customer I often get the following on my flights to KUL ex SIn with the plus pack, it's labelled chicken but I often have crew call it ham, the only meat sandwich they sell is Ham, so I am pretty sure it's Ham, have to wander how it goes down in the Muslim world???

If its chicken, why is it pink?

I guess it might come down to what flavouring has been added to the processed "meat" when manufactured :p

Fairly common in Gulf to see ham or bacon on menu but no piggies harmed in production as it is either turkey or "beef".

Yep turkey ham. Is used in some UK pizza places too (just look for the halal sign on the door... And you can assume).

But could well be chicken. Manufactured chicken meat can be a variety of colours... Especially in Asia.

The processed chicken slices you can buy from the deli often have a bit of a pink tinge to them...

What did it taste like? If anything ....

It tasted like cheap ham, the one on Saturday was stale while on Sunday it was a little fresher, helps pass the time!

The pink colour I think is caused by Nitrates or Nitrites (can't remember which one) used a preservative. Same as ham etc.
