Is J on the Qantas 737-800 Perth-Singapore a waste of money?

Qantas made a decision to dump Perth other than using a cough little plane for an international run. They will need to try harder if they want that market back.

I think you'll be waiting until Qantas put together something that worth connecting to out of Singapore. Until then (and there is no guarantee it will happen), I think you're stuck with the small planes....

When I read this I laughed :) Sure, it may not be great, but whenever I see someone say that business is almost the same as economy on a given plane, I get the same laugh.
Business class was the same as economy on the old VA Embraer's but you got 2 seats. Same for intra Europe

In my short experience of business class in 737's and A320's it is not worth it except for SCs/points.
