Is my VA status (WP) worth anything when doing seat selection online for a SQ flight?

Bought tickets to Europe last night and I used my KF membership number, forgetting I could have used my VA number. I know I get recognised at check-in at the airport regarding lounge access and priority etc but is there any online recognition if I used my VA status regarding seat selection? I notice they charge extra for forward seating and bulkhead rows. As I'm nothing with KF I don't get anything but wondering if VA-WP makes any difference.

Nope nothing. VA status (or Star alliance gold for that matter) doesn't get any seating benefits on SQ.

Okay thanks, what I thought but disappointing nonetheless. Check-in staff can be helpful I've found but the desirable seats would be long gone by then of course.

Most seats open up at online check in 48 hours prior.
