Is there a list anywhere of the hotels used for quarantine, and when?

Just got a tentative booking for Sydney (Four Points Central Park) for December - hoping we can fly MEL-SYD by then - cancelled because apparently they've been press-ganged into quarantine.

I also would like to book somewhere in Melbourne for a staycation soon, and the missus would like to avoid quarantine hotels where possible.

Solution
Kept forgetting to post here the list.
As of today, in Melbourne the hotels used are:
  • Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport
  • Park Royal Melbourne Airport
  • Four points by Sheraton Melbourne Docklands
  • Holiday Inn on Flinders
  • Mercure Welcome Melbourne
  • Pullman Melbourne on Swanston
  • Stamford Plaza Hotel
  • Novotel Melbourne on Collins
  • Novotel South Wharf
  • Pan Pacific Melbourne
The ‘Health Hotels’ are the Novotel South Wharf and the Holiday Inn on Flinders. Also using a ward at the Albert Road Clinic (Private mental health hospital).

I guess add Grand Hyatt Melbourne

Does anyone know which hotels are being used in Brisbane and Adelaide for quarantine? I am booking a trip soon and would like to avoid quarantine hotels

It seems all a bit secretive. However, I would like to think that the ‘COVID Hotels’ would not be permitted to accommodate the general public along with at-risk quarantine folks, using the same access areas.

I’ve noticed that some hotels, e.g., Marriott Brisbane, have an alert that there is no availability for your dates, regardless of what dates you use (= Iso-facility).

And welcome to AFF.

one near the main Audi dealership in Zetland
That's the Meriton service apartments at the corner of McEvoy St and South Dowling St, which I believe it to be use as a "Health Hotel" where positive and symptomatic cases are being sent to. Plus those who need to use nebulisers and/or CPAPs.
Qualifer: I might be wrong

No you're provably right.

I know of a positive case in a mascot apartment block as well. So yeah discretely positioned.

In some states that's true.

I don't think you could book a Quaro hotel in Qld. They get well and truly taken over by Govt, and there are severe limitations on movement within them. General public and those making deliveries from outside can't get past reception.

Update for the Melbourne list.
Health hotels are now the Novotel South Wharf and the Pullman Albert Park.

The Holiday Inn on Flinders is no longer in use.

Additions to the list are the Mantra Tullamarine, Grand Chancellor on Lonsdale St and the View Hotel on St Kilda Road.

My understanding is that not all hotels are operational right now due to the decrease in international arrivals, and only around 40% are running.

I had a booking for Mercure Welcome Melbourne for Easter last year (2020). I was planning on attending shows at the Melbourne Comedy Festival which was cancelled. I "lifted and shifted" the booking to Easter this year instead.

A couple of weeks ago I received an email from the hotel advising that they were closed due to "Victorian COVID-19 restrictions", my booking was therefore cancelled and where should they send my refund?

I wasn't sure if they were actually closed or were a quarantine hotel and therefore closed to non-quarantine guests.

There was no offer to rebook me for alternative dates or direct me to a "sister" hotel that might be open.

I've decided to instead move my Qantas flights to the June long weekend and use them for a day trip to Melbourne to see the French Impressionism exhibition at the NGV. No need for a hotel and, hopefully, the borders will still be open...

I suspect the Pullman Adelaide on Hindmarsh Square is being used for quarantine. There is temporary fencing blocking access to the hotel and part of Hindmarsh Square directly outside the hotel. There's also someone uniformed (security?) stationed in the driveaway outside the hotel.

I stayed at the Ibis Adelaide on Grenfell St last week and am confident it's not a quarantine hotel. There was none of the measures in evidence as observed at the Pullman across the square...

The link below suggests that Pullman Adelaide and Tom's Court Hotel are quarantine hotels in Adelaide.
