What the hell, I'll ask here too (Posted on facebook already :))

Looking for someone with Server 2003 experience, Exchange 2003 experience and good knowledge of Domain user and groups configuration. We have a client that has a real "Mess" Data all over the place and no data management policy.

If only I was game to go back into IT I'd consider it. Alas, too busy with social media and online marketing to be drawn back in.

I would help if I didn't have my own mess of AD/domain groups to sort out..
20,000 students makes a mess with MS.

Maybe post it on whirlpool.net.au, they have a jobs sections. Geeky enough area

+1

I spent nearly 4 hours arguing with some guy on there over whether airlines use IATA or ICAO codes on pax tickets, I won:mrgreen:

Josh:p

To Clarify: It's IATA, I have never seen a ticket with the ICAO code on it (pobssibly with the exception of easyjet

Josh, you were probably having a discussion with a kid if it was WP!

BTW airlines use both, for around 15 years IATA has allowed airlines to use ICAO codes if they desire as they recognise the IATA system has faults. However many airlines stick to the old convention as that is what the customers and booking systems know, how many people would understand they are on DJ563 from YMML to YBBN, or for the oldies AMML to ABBN, sounds a bit ASSY to me

I was aware that that was the case

I know but the original topic was about TT and ASP, and its pretty well accepted that in Australia IATA is used, I wouldn't use ICAO anyway.

Its easier to recognise HBA as Hobart rather than YMLB; or Melbourne as MEL as opposed to YMML

Cheers,

Josh

Its not called whingepool for nothing (I have a rep tag there)

And yes the ICAO codes are hard to get used to but they make a lot more sense (at least if you have been an aviation professional) and have more capacity than the IATA ones do, but for the time being it looks like VHS is winning over Betacam.

As far as IT jobs go, it does not hurt to advertise on whingepool, took us a while to get staff in Perth for an average sales position!

When does it need to be done? You can give my office a call if you like.

I'm on QF574 to SYD today, but if you want to call me once I've landed we can discuss.
