Itinerary receipt but no ticket number

I had a change to a partner reward flight time and accepted an alternate routing with EK through the QF website. The EK reference generated immediately, all flights show as “confirmed” and I received a new PDF from QF but it has no ticket number and looks a bit different from the usual e-ticket receipt.

Using other airlines MMB I found I did have a new ticket number, but the EK website says "Your tickets are not yet issued. Contact your agent to issue your tickets so that you can travel." and won't let me choose seats.

Any clues what is going on here and/or will I need to chase this one up?

Have look in QF to check if your APIS (specifically, DoB) came across. If not, enter DoB. That can help move along ticketing.

The change was yesterday evening, and this "ghost ticket" seems to have been issued at the same time. The APIS were in the booking the whole time (since the original ticket issue).

I called QF and they confirmed it was ticketed, sent through the itinerary again but it was still missing the e-ticket number. However, they were able to tell me the new 081 number on the phone.

EK said the booking was not ticketed, but when I gave them the new e-ticket number they said it was issued but had no booking ref at all and, understandably, to contact my travel agent.

Are the reservations systems not playing nicely with each other? 🤷‍♂️
