I am presently installing Tomahawk because the new version of iTunes forced upon me with the most recent iOS update - well sucks.

This is an experiment in getting my music, ebooks and pics on and off iPhone and iPad with ease - a few years ago on iPod I used Anapod - that no longer exists (shame)

Has anyone else had a guts full of the cough Apple keeps providing named iTunes and if so, what alternative are you using?

Android and Google Music. It will even match your old music to the cloud.

I haven't upgraded iTunes yet! Lol!!

I updated to new 27" iMac, so today had no choice, new iTunes is hard to fathom, pages all over the place, not friendly at all like last version, very disapointed.

I have almost got the hang of the latest version of iTunes, but not having the album image in the bottom left hand corner is irritating.

Just had another gander at it, pressed view show side bar and hidden no more, more exploring to do before final opinion me thinks now

I must be the only person not having issues. Admittedly I just upgraded to a Mac mini that's pretty fast, but getting rid of the side bar is so much better and syncing doesn't seem to be an issue.

The last version was pretty awful though!

Probably only related by iTunes. But the massive problem in having is due to youngest daughter deciding to put a passcode on her iPod touch and then promptly forgetting it. I don't need to but would like to get the photos of the bloody thing. However, because it's locked I can't back it up, I can't access the files via windows explorer or such like. But I can do a restore and lose everything on there.

It is absolutely stupid. If someone stole it they're not going to give a damn about the data on there and they are perfectly able to delete that and start again. But the owner is screwed. Stupid apple!!

I had exactly the same issue with my daughter and her iPod touch. Luckily she plugs it Ito the computer fairly regularly so I just restored it, plugged it back into the computer, iTunes recognised the iPod and asked if I wanted to restore from last back up.

Another way to get around the iPod locking up after unsuccessful pass code attempts is to keep it plugged into the computer and every time it locks after unsuccessful pass code attempts, hit the sync button on iTunes and it will sync and remove the pass code lock. Ok if you have all day to sit and keep punching in different pass codes.

Limewood - Thank you!! I have spent all those hours trying to operate in iTunes without the sidebar, so now life can return to normal. (my computing skills must be at a pretty low level)
