I too made sliver on the 28th December 2010 , wooohooo
, all self funded discount economy travel , today morning I was on could nine when I walked straight in to QP baggage drop counter at BNE for QF 601 , I was the first one they served it was the shortest bag drop of my entire life - in and out in 4 min ( 6 bags to drop "heavy"
, I also traveled on 737-400 convertible ( i was traveling Ywhy) but I understand the plight of people paying for J , so not worth it , I have come to hate the Convertible J seats just by looking at them.

I've finally made it to Silver and it's all thanks to the valuable knowledge and help from everyone on AFF!
My next trip is to Japan in Feb which will take me to Gold which I never imagined I would achieve.
So...
A BIG Thank You to all those AFFers who have helped me on my way
BTW - all my travel is self funded with a mix of $$$ and JASAs and I have had lots of fun on the way.
