Folks

Getting ready to book J Class awards for Mrs Paddy in April 2011 (SYD-LHR-SYD) and know the best ones go pretty soon after release by QF.

I noticed from about a month ago J awards only seem to only be available on 747s now - not A380s from SYD/MEL to LHR - I wonder if anyone else noticed this? Apart from A380 J class being 'nicer', and presumably more popular, anyone know if A380 J awards will be coming back?

Currently I can only see to the 24th March 2011. But could see a A380 LHR SYD, not the SYD LHR leg as they were all pretty much through HKG on a 747

Check the timetable and see when the A380 is flying and mid week is probably your best option.:)

I am wanting to book award flights MEL-SIN in J April 2011. I have watched for 20 days on the first available day and not once has there been direct flights from MEL to SIN, all routed via PER ADL or SYD. Am I doing something wrong or are there no direct MEL-SIN J award flights ever.

It seems as a 'premium product' they are being a little stingy with the award allocations. Interesting, especially as I was in J on the A380 the other day with it only 50% full (it was rather nice not being crowded though ). I would have thought better to fill it with burners than run it half empty, but Joyce may have a different idea.

Comeflywithme - agree, especially as the burners have done some reasonable earning to get there...

Just checked on the QF website and QF9 seems to have availability in J on Tue, 22 Mar and Wed 23 Mar. On Mon 21 Mar QF9/QF31 is there, but nothing in J on Thu 24th Mar

Thanks Paddy, noticed that and have made my outbound bookings.
