J Class Prices now almost matching Qantas

... you are making a whole bunch of assumptions about a product that you've never tried because it hasn't been launched yet ...
This thread is in relation to pricing of DJ's Business product when compared to Qantas' and what one gets for it.

I HAVE tried the seat - and it is not as good as QF's. NO assumption there.

As for the soft product, time will tell. If it's as good as my transcon experiences on the 330's then maybe. If as per the following transcon report on the 737's then no!

See this thread: http://www.australianfrequentflyer..../business-class-coast-coast-bigger-35264.html

IMHO, the old Qantas Millennium seats are far more comfortable than the new DJ seats. They also have IFE and many have in seat power supply.
Millennium: A well padded, fabric covered beast - with 2 way adjustable seat back (inc lumbar support) plus 2 way adjustable leg/foot rest (length & angle) with solid flat plank style foot support and adjustable headrest... IMO the new QF 737 J seat can't beat it either.

Maybe its just too complex for the average punter to operate, when compared to the new QF two button model?

But, even that is preferable to a DJ one button model!

For me DJ's tablet with a two audio sockets and pretty white ear buds (so only get left or right, no stereo) doesn't cut it.
Not sure if the two audio sockets are configured for left and right (I thought it would have been the case too), however I have a two prong adaptor for my headphones, and when plugged into both sockets on the digEplayer I can not discern a difference between left and right channels, although I can change the volume in each ear independently via the player's controls (so my adaptor, is definitedly stereo capable).

My hearing is no longer the best after years of various abuse, but I had formed the impression that each socket on the digiplayer was stereo and there are two sockets so you can share with your seat mate.

I'd be fairly surprised if they were mono channels per socket with individual, per ear, volume control.

I have got Stereo out of the digiplayer, one socket. Cannot imagine why they would not be! FWIW I think they are rubbish!

Yes, me too. I'm not particularly tall and find that when I balance the damn thing on the tray table the viewing angle is horrible. I need the pop out rest at the back to be longer to give me the right angle. If one were taller then you could lean it back further and it would probably work. So I end up having to hold the thing, which drives me bonkers. Also, I don't think the screens are "true colour", I think they are 65K colours because anything dark in the scene turns blocky and indistinguishable.

Anyhoo, still better than a QF 767 shared projector screen :)
