What are the better lounges including that used by QF?

I'll have PP and DC in addition to my Qantas gold.

I understand there are numerous lounges with access to credit card holders. Not sure if Australian CC holders can get access. Amex platinum? CitiBusiness Gold?

Last time I was there, no access for FF status. There's a couple of good bars air-side though.

At Jakarta, Qantas use the JAS Executive Lounge. I have also managed to get access to the lounge as a QF platinum one travelling on Jetstar to Singapore. Thought I would have been turned down for sure, but the woman on the front desk seemed to have no trouble with it- she just took my card number down and waved me through. I also recall that a few signs for various credit cards, but I can't recall which ones.

It is a pretty standard airport lounge, nothing spectacular. It normally is a bit crowded when I have been there, but still managed to get a seat. Last time I went there was no alcohol, not sure if that was because it was during Ramadan or if it normal. The food selection wasn't all that great. Despite being night time often have the toaster out, which I have found quite good. There was free wifi and seemed to work quite fast.

I don't have any experience with other lounges in terminal 2.

From memory you need to ask staff for drinks and you need to remind them you want them cold "Dingin".

Thats right, it's down the end of the terminal to the left when walking in. Sorry to the OP for the misinform.

I remember now we did go to the door but it was very crowded so we went back toward security a bit where there was a bar that was open.

I was in the lounge a few weeks back I was flying with SQ but it seems most of the airlines use the same lounge. It is probably one of the worst lounges out there, they did serve beer but the WiFi was horrible as was the food and it was overcrowded. Dont go with high expectations.

Was there last year, 2 lounges you could use are beside each other. The second lounge was the better lounge.
Also lounges with credit card access are normally for asian banks cards, not aussie cards.

I'm currently looking at a last minute booking to SIN. The best option I can currently see an award on QF41 to CGK then I was going to grab the Valuair flight to SIN departing 4 hours later (2 hours after QF return to SYD). Now the QF web site specifically says access for JQ/3K/VF flights with WP/SG/QP though it sounds like you might have to fight for access? I realise it's a general lounge, would it remain open for the 22:00 departure? I have been to many 'lesser' lounges so I will set my expectations appropriately!

In August, I flew on a Jetstar VF flight CGK-SIN. As i noted previously in this thread, I got access at to the JAS Executive Lounge no trouble as a Qantas P1. Was expecting to be turned away as it is an associated lounge. My understanding was the QF status only got access to actual Qantas lounges when travelling Jetstar, no access to associated lounges. Although my boarding pass was printed on a Qantas boarding pass stock but it was a VF flight and ticket, not sure if that helped or not.

My flight was at 21:30 so the lounge was definitely open that night at least. And there were still passengers waiting for other flights when I left for boarding. Still quite full, but starting to empty for the night.

Thanks. I asked for similar reasons, QF list it as an associate lounge yet list access on all Jetstar airlines. Must be one of those lounges that doesn't care and just swipes any card you give them to make a profit. The CPH lounge is one that comes to mind. Anyway thanks, I'll report back if things turn sour.

Not sure about transit pax but at QF check in, i was given lounge invite and told i could use either of two lounges, Premier lounge or Pura Indah first and business lounge. The card has to be surrendered at entry desk. I was informed Pura Indah is alcohol-free. Both lounges are adjacent to each other. Across from Premier is another lounge called Esplanade Lounge, which is exclusive to SQ.

I used the Premier lounge which is used by numerous airlines including QF and CX. Lounge was very crowded. Bintang on tap. Food was plentiful.

I went across to Pura Indah lounge and on flashing the PP card, I was directed to the left, First class lounge. To the right is the business class lounge. The first had 3 beers in cans. Lounge had just 5 pax. This lounge has shower and was very peaceful. I recommend anyone with QF platinum or equivalent status to use the Pura Indah first class lounge. Forget about the Premier lounge.

Btw, Sunday evening had a Jetstar flight to Perth and pax for that flight had access to the both lounges. I presume that as boarding announcements were being made.

A couple of years ago, I used one lounge using PP before an Air Asia flight back to SIN (the lounge on the left as you walk from immig, with SQ lounge opposite on the right). My flight was delayed so I was there for quite a while. There were several waves of pax through the lounge, and what I did notice the food deteriorated substantially after the EK flight departed and the lounge emptied a bit (it soon built back up with pax for other flights).

That's the Premier. They too accept PP.

OK, yes, have also been there when I flew QF once, very very busy that time. Usually though I'm on SQ, who have exclusive use of the "Esplanade Lounge", which also can get very busy prior to each SQ departure, but has an OK range of food.

It doesn’t look very promising even with a QF J seat, and a WP card :-(

On a separate note, does anyone know when QF will be moving to the new Terminal 3 at CGK?

We are in the pura lounge. Check in staff do steer you towards the other lounge. Any way, sitting in the first class section. WiFi is a bit slow, food is basic, and definitely Asian centric, with soups and noodles. A few sandwiches etc. Not up to DOM QP standard food-wise ( for my taste anyway). But comfortable and quiet. It will do us.

Thanks for all the feedback.

In the Pura Indah First Lounge. It is clean, quiet and the AC works well. The ladies shower looks very nice. Food and drink offerings are quite good, but I’m also going easy, with a QF dinner to look forward to in J.
