$3,750 AUD. Includes a free stopover in Japan and up to 12 months stopover in the US (great for nested itineraries).

WhereToCredit is reporting 0 SC earn on QF. I can’t be bothered trying to dissect QF‘s unfair and complicated earn tables, but is related to not recognising “X” as a legitimate business earning bucket?

EDIT: I’m also seeing very similar pricing for the same routing on United and ANA (via Japan), as well as Qatar and American (via Doha). Updated title to reflect.

X earns as Business Class SC to QF.

“WhereToCredit” defaults to “Zone based” for QF - even they can’t manage to calculate post ‘Simpler & Fairer’ TM. In turn, LL always stuffs up and just defaults to zero…

The QF calc will show the correct earn. For this one: (120 + 160) x 2. Nice indeed.

I recently booked CX J ex CGK and only get 80 SCs CGK-HKG 😔

In fairness to WTC, their earn tables work for the vast majority of airlines using miles flown (with cabin multipliers) as the basis for status AND miles earning. QF and some other airlines complicate matters by employing separate calculations for miles and status earned. It’s no surprise then that WTC reports 0 earn - ‘Simpler & Fairer’ TM indeed.

I need to go to SFO-LAS-LAX-NYC and has been looking for some cheap J fares. Apart from starting from Jakarta, I found similar (slightly more expenisve) fares from Hanoi to SFO. The fare on aa is cheaper than Kayak or Skyscanner which is a bit strange.

I may end up doing HAN-NRT-SFO then JFK-NRT-HAN for A$4.7k.

I did the trip in Mar /Apr and got 480 SC. Booked with AA but JAL metal. A$4.7k which is great value. Looking at another trip in late May and pricing is the same.
