Finally, just received my eticket for flights late April. Only need to add one more sector in a few weeks.
I see that people here prefer to use QF points to book JL as opposed to AA miles which is interesting.
How many QF points and taxes is JL F these days?
I don’t have any AA points, but more than adequate QF points. It’s one way USA - HND - Aus +. It will end up being around 285K points and around USD 65.

I travelled JL biz to NRT and did`nt think it was anything fancy compared to SQ.QF no brainer for me. The JL biz bed is cramped and very short in comparison.
WRT the OP, JL First is excellent. My only criticism is the cabin temperature - like most Asian carriers they think 24-26 degrees is suitable for sleeping.
Correction on cash component:
USA - HND = AUD98
HND - AUS = AUD145.
as per my cc charges.
SYD _ HND $182.12 129,000 QF points p.p
I will update the actual cost once the multiple pending authorisations charges on my cc get sorted out in the next few days hopefully.
I have no idea why theQF transactions are quite different. But I suspect it will end up being the AUD98 below.
No, that is per person

I would select row 2, left hand side of the cabin to reduce proximity to the galley and crew traffic on the right aisle. As a solo - I reckon 2A is the pick, followed by 1A.
QF say that JL has changed the coding for their Award seats after 1 Apr.
I have spent weeks trying to get this sorted and now stuck with one way flights to CDG that I am unable to add any other bookings too.
As a couple we are booked in 1D and 1G - with the hope that the Salon is served in Row 1 first
It was a QF problem not JL as the new fare code for JL F was showing up as a revenue fare for QF bookings (and for several weeks my Award bookings have been showing up as “A” revenue F fares!Seems very frustrating. How about calling the local JL number and asking if they can enlighten you as to timing for a fix?
