I’m very new to this community. But I have been collecting Qantas points for a few years now! Which resulting in booking Business Class, Brisbane to Tokyo with Qantas & then JAL Business class. Osaka to KL via Tokyo.

An amazing trip! And a proposal will be on the cards, let’s hope she says yes :)

I’ve been really enjoy the podcast also. It’s nice to not be collecting points blind anymore and doing all the work solo. I’ve already got some great tips and got 5,000 points plus some nice wines on the way and the option to change my seat (Domestic local flight earlier this year) after check in, to go further forward in the plane.

Lots of knowledgeable folk here and happy travels to Japan and beyond.
Wishing you and your "plus one" a wonderful trip đź’Ť
Not the first to propose on a trip to Japan - think @HirafuHeartAttack did?
Welcome! And yes it was an amazing place to do it!
Just make sure the ring is in your carry on. Mine wasn't and I got lucky and it made it all the way to Sapporo but we have friends whose checked bag, with the ring, took 4 extra days to arrive and delayed the proposal.

A warm welcome @byron.lumley .
All the best for your trip and Proposal. Would be ideal if it was in April so the proposal could be under the cherry blossoms.

Welcome and good choice for your first trip. The flight to Tokyo is that nice duration to properly enjoy a business class seat and going JAL is a real treat.

Welcome to AFF @byron.lumley
I’m sure you will enjoy Japan, the friendly culture and amazing choices for food.
Travelling business class ads to the experience.
I’m just wrapping up 8 days in Tokyo (first time) - highly recommended and I will return soon.
Enjoy your travels.
