Hi everyone,

I know this has likely been asked and answered before - but wondering:

I'm looking at double a quick couple of status runs before the end of the month: I know I should know the answer to this one, but.....

I put in for a dummy run a Sydney to Alice Springs enquiry - and I received this possibility for 26/6:

SYD - Mel QF401
MEL - ASP QF796
ASP - MEL QF797
MEL - SYD QF444

At best 72,000 points and aqbout $150.

A) Do you think that this is good value - or other good ex Syd ASA's
B) Do you get the SC for each leg (80)- or only as if it was a single leg each way (100)

I think, and hope, that the latter would be the answer will be that as there are four different flight numbers then get the ful SCs.

Eagerly awaiting your informative response!

Each flight generates a seperate SC entitlement
I think it's good value as a JASA
I did a similar one earlier this month - Syd-Mel-Asp-Syd-Bris-Syd - it was a long day but a great SC haul with double SC's

If I was you and you need the SC's I'd grab it quick!

520 SC's

Syd-Mel - 40
Mel-Asp - 60
Asp-Syd - 80
Syd-Bris - 40
Bris-Syd - 40

then the double offer applied

and with a JASA - Syd-Sing-Syd coming up in early August that will be another 480 incl double SC's

and then I'll be WP (first timer) - gee I hope some people are losing their WP status as there seems to be an awful lot of us qualifying for the first time for WP - maybe that's a topic for a new thread :)

Do you guys aim for WP mainly due to the Oneworld F lounge benefit including the SYD QF F and MEL QF F lounge? Or is it for something else? :)

For a SYD-SIN-SYD JASA is it minimum 120000 FF points + $$$ ?

For me it was 120,000 points and $693.98

QF1 - A380 up and QF6 - 747 back

Very happy with that package (plenty of points to use)
I've never been able to find it any cheaper than 120,000 points for the return (even via Adealide)

Thats a key driver for me along with Business lounges for domestic travel - plus the general benefits of WP in terms of status over those lowly SG's :D
- which I've been for many many years!
Like Tony said WP seems to be the new SG

because you automatically get extra inches on your e-peen when you are WP and 10 Internets!

Hi,

That is a great deal. When did you book that?

Why is WP the new SG?:)

QF appears to be only one step away from giving it away in cereal boxes. :p (Much like it does SG at the moment!!)*

*The poster is well aware that SG is not given away in cereal boxes.....however in these days of endless double status offers it seems harder not to get to SG and beyond.

180,000 & $763.66 return, A380 in F is also pretty good. Particularly if you are not WP prior to the trip!
