As usual I didn't get this so I've just reregistered. Was there a link or how do you get the $3 availability to show? I can't work out a way to doit yet.

The link in the email goes directly to the Jetstar "Sale Fares" page, so theres no hidden "invite only" link this time, seems its a free-for-all.

Funny.

Last night the Jetstar site would only work for me (sort of) using IE and not Mozilla. Tonight it only works using Mozilla and is jumbled using IE.

Weird. ..then again, it is Jetstar :!:

Well believe it or not the bloody thing worked! All booked for SYD-HKT-SYD for two people for $870 including card surcharge. Easiest Jetstar Sale ever.

Dates available are 1 - 21 June, 24 July - 13 September & 16 October - 12 December. A few routes are blacked out, but the table is set up easily enough on the website to follow.

Availability seems good thus far, get in early!

You won't actually see $3 fares through th booking engine:

Our booking system will show the available JetSaver fares for 2 passengers travelling together at half price plus $1.50 each, so each flight for two will add up to a JetSaver fare for one, plus $3 (note two equal discounted fares will appear on your booking).

Perfectly fitted into my schedule for my NZ ski trip!

Appears the take a friend for $3 only applies on the cheapest fares, not on JetFlex or * class? The sale wording doesn't refer either way, but the cases I tried the sale was not being applied to JetFlex or * class.

The fares became bookable at about 12:15 am...

As this was un-announced..it seems to have been done ina rush to soak up travellers as Tiger airwars are meant to be launching.

QANTAS also came out unnannounced at 3am...so looks Tiger is coming.

Back on JetStar...as virtually no one new....I found it easy to look at flights...so obviouslyy very little traffic as normally JetSra sales are melt downs.

Could see everything...but unfortunately dates did not suit as they stopped at Dec 10..

Also the Bangkok deals only seemed to one way there and not back....so as an effective 25% discount rather than 50% was not as attractive


It will be interesting to see what Tiger launches with.

I was lucky to get 5 setas coughket -Sigapor for $1 SIN (plus taxes...but still less that $200 AUS all up ) when they launched over there ....and I had already luckily had MELB Bankok and Singapor MEL fares booked....and so the launch was perfect for me.

They were only available out of SYD. I was in there right at the start and there was nothing out of MEL to CHC on those dates.

Make sure you're navigating the site correctly when looking for bookings. You need to click on the link to the "Sales Fare" page, and then select the "Book" button. If you use the normal booking menu at the top left it will only bring up the normal fares.

I wonder you pay for two people to travel, but only want to travel yourself whether you'll actually be allocated two seats, and if so would you get the taxes (eg departure tax) back on the second person?
