Jetstar has some pretty good business class fares from Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City, as low as $599 one-way or $1,161 round-trip.

For those unfamiliar with Jetstar business class, it's basically a premium economy seat but you get full meals and drinks on board, as well as in-flight entertainment, a blanket and a comfort pack.

If you book Business Max, you'll also earn at least 15,600 Qantas points and 240 status credits, and get lounge access. The Max bundle brings the price to $1,581 return.

Similar prices are also available from Melbourne to Ho Chi Minh City.

Note that despite there being a number of third party lounges at HCM, Jetstar haven't negotiated access, so the Max fare on the return doesn't give you lounge access.

I have flown Jetstar business class from Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City on the 787 twice...first time I bid for an upgrade (~$250) from a $180 Economy fare and the 2nd time I booked outright with QF points....it leaves in the afternoon so you can have a nice lunch in the QF F lounge (if you are Plat) prior ; Food, drink, service onboard and seat that reclines to about 45 degrees makes this a very comfortable 9 hour daytime flight to Sgn :) Would recommend anytime!

Came back to Syd on Sq via Sin, once in J and once in Y
