Maybe a bit different to the experience of others, but I have found QF to be great with changes that affect me. It also helps if you are open and friendly when speaking to them.

In past years, I did the Melbourne to Auckland commute, on 1 occasion, I received a phone call asking for me to re-reoute to Sydney. For my troubles, I flew J on both sectors when I had a Y ticket.

I have an award ticket for myself and the wife for Melbourne to Shanghai booked for April. QF called me about a month ago on a Saturday to change my flight from Melbourne to Shanghai to Sydney to Shanghai. They put us on a connecting Melbourne to Sydney flight.

I cannot complain about this kind of service. Delays and cancellations are part of flying. Its about how you and the airline comes to a comprhomise.

I dont see people conplaining when there paid Y tickets get changed so that they sit in J or F. :lol:

Hello, I have travelled with Jetstar and it is horrible, if you have to complaint about something you have to make a big effort to make them know they are wrong, it should be all the way around as you are helping them to know what they should improve to retain their customers and attract more of them. Right now I have to report what happened to me and back up my experience with some published articles or information that states they are not responding well to complaints and their costumer service is terrible, does anyone know where I can find this kind of information, any ideas are completely welcome

having just traveled the deathstar for the first and last time this past wkend, I to agree that the service culture is the major problem, although I also got the feeling nobody actually knew what was meant to be happening, it all seamed a bit under cooked, unrehearsed. I take what NM had to say about their model as the best approach to take. Do not use this carrier if on time performance is important to you. could qantas have their time slots please CNS MEL no PM direct flight is a disgrace.
