Essendon?What's the third busiest?.
Essendon?What's the third busiest?.
A 17 year old would normally be dealt with by the Children's Court for lesser offences. However this is a more serious matter.
Reminds me of HMAS Penguin, a military facility in Sydney which is protected by private security.
One time I was supposed to be there at the hospital. I just drove in to the gate. Said which way to the hospital. They let me in no ID needed, no questions asked.
Security is lax in many places. Even the scanners at airport miss important contraband from time to time.
Don't get me started on security screening at regional airports..
On JQ reserved for burly shearers or night club bouncers. What's the third busiest?..
.....
Precedent for 1C passengers?
The abc web site said he had a shotgun and got in via a hole in the fence .The Avalon airshow starts od 25 March , hope security is ramped up by then. And yet this darling 17yo will be back on the streets in no time. Revolving door at its finest.
Our legal system lacks the spine and balls required to enforce justice.
Yes. I was expecting same but hasnot been that for many years. It's all "protected" by the similar to the companies that does airport screeningNaval Police at the gate
Yep, I regularly visit numerous bases and all private security nowYes. I was expecting same but hasnot been that for many years. It's all "protected" by the similar to the companies that does airport screening![]()

I highly doubt someone who has violated commonwealth law is going to get a slap on the wrist here. Presumably this whole thing will be tried in Federal court, where I suspect judges will be less lenient than what you would find in local court. And yet this darling 17yo will be back on the streets in no time. Revolving door at its finest.
Is it safe to assume that they weren't a JQ employee? Wouldn't surprise me if shotgun is the new spanner! The abc web site said he had a shotgun and got in via a hole in the fence .
It surprises me that people would cower in such situations. I mean if your life is on the line is your first instinct really to pick up your phone and start recording or to run away? And we see what happens, one only look at the Bondi security incident last year, one has to wonder how many lives could have been saved if someone confronted the attacker. It’s good to see some passengers respond to a threat appropriately and don’t just reach for their phone to film their own demise.
Why Jetstar flights specifically? But I think this begs a question about the security of airports in Australia and JetStar flights more specifically.
