Okay I just got my 50k point bonus today. Card was activated on 28 May so took 3 weeks from start to get the bonus.

I hit the 3k spend in the first 3 days / month (was holding bills for this card). I also hold the Macquarie backed WW card which I'll be closing shortly and keeping this one.

So a very quick and easy process with this offer for me.

I received my bonus 50k points today. Card activated June 3rd, achieved $3k spend after a couple of weeks, (flights to Miami and renew QC membership).
All in all, very easy process, only asked for copy of payslip.

As with Coyote25, I have a WW card, and it will be closed by the end of the month.

My 50k points are due in a couple of weeks. Was told that government and gambling spends on the card do not count towards the $3k and when I checked last month my local council rates that I paid with this card was not included in the $3k.

I have reached my $3,000 spend, so hopefully the 50k will turn up at the end-of-the month statement sweep.

Edit: I spoke too soon. The 50k points are there (but not yet the spend points).

Must have happened sometime after 6pm.

Over 5000 points per year I won't get if rates and car rego don't earn. Still got the Woolworths card so might keep it as a backup if they continue to waive the annual fee for me.

I pay my rates using Auspost Digital Maibox so the statement entry says APDM .... Rate - wondering if this might escape their automated system as the payment is not direct to the council?

where does it say theres no ATO points earned? I believe it does. My wife has this and I hvae the macquarie platinum and no problems get points earned each time.

Lucky you. They canned points on the Jetstar card months ago. I got caught. No notice given, rang up, argued it got shut down so cut the card up!

They said it was a 'glitch' the fact Id earned points with ATO previously and tough luck.

Keeping my/our powder dry ... I/we have never cancelled a card. When the ATO river finally empties, we'll be busy applying.
