Email from Jetstar today:

We’re changing the rate at which you earn Qantas Points, effective from 7 May 2018.

Current
1 Qantas Point per $1 spent on eligible purchases for the first $2,500 spent per statement period, then 0.5 Qantas Points per $1 spent for the remainder of that statement period*.

New
0.5 Qantas Points per $1 spent on eligible purchases*.

Quite sad for me as I have been receiving a double benefit for the last couple of years - 1 QFF point up to the 2500 monthly spend and also a $200 travel voucher for every 10K in spend which more than compensated for the annual fee

Don't think I will worry with it now, another card for me to bin

Used to be a very good card with 60,000 bonus points and 1:1 uncapped earning. Now just a shell of it;s former self. Thankfully still some better options out there.

I axed it with the first round of changes as I used to pay school fees with this card. The $2500 cap was massively exceeded 4x a year when fees were due.

Agreed, I just used it up to the $2500 and then onto other cards for the rest of the month. Getting $600 in travel vouchers a year was the sweet spot for me hence have continued to use
