Jetstar removes the 787 from the Melbourne to Bali

Perhaps they do. Replacing 737s with A32x has to be a step forward when they roll through the domestic fleet. Internationally, just fly with someone else!
Replacing 737 with A321, yes a step forward. As per my post, replacing A330 with A321, a step backwards in my opinion.

A friend who joined us in Bali last week flew JQ ADL-DPS A320 on the evening flight up and then DPS-ADL A321 midnight flight back and said the comfort between the two was chalk and cheese. Even though it was an overnight flight she was really happy with how quiet and comfortable the new aircraft was.
