Sale fares

I checked this yesterday and priced out some SYD-HNL *Class fares at around $3200, went back tonight to book with my shiny new CBA Amex card and the price is now around $3900 :evil:

They listed the SYD-HNL fare as $999, I am pretty sure yesterday they were listed at $799 as it was a pretty good deal. While not as good as the 2for1 which worked out to $2700 in total, I was prepared to pay $3200 and secure a holiday for June next year.

:evil::evil::evil:

So time to sit back and wait for another * Class special! :shock:

You're not the only one who noticed that shifty change in price ... I thought it was odd that it was the same price to BKK as to HNL!

Glad someone else noticed!

I am still tempted to book the $999 each way Star Class "special"

The current price $3877 for 2 SYD-HNL-SYD whereas the normal price is $4597

A $700 saving is nice, but would have preferred the $3200 price and a $1400 saving.

As for Economy prices SYD-HNL-SYD for 2 people is $1,277.88

To upgrade to Star Class is around $300 per person each way IF you get to the airport super early. But no more Qantas FF points at business class rates or status credits with the "on-departure upgrade" Total price is $2477

So an extra $1400 gives guaranteed 30kgs baggage, and 34,000 QFF points in total. The extra baggage allowance works out to $400 of value if the full 30kgs is used. I value those points at around $2000....

The best sale was the 2 for 1 in Star Class which allowed MEL-SYD-HNL fares and was very cheap!

Decisions, decisions :shock:
