AO is sposed to be a full service airline , just that it has only economy class , rather than a LCC

Dabe
Granted Dabe but still no ff points or SC's.

I have noticed that the return airfare SYD-CNS-SIN on AO is almost the same as the return airfare SYD-SIN on QF.

So if it is a "full service airline", with "full service" airfares owned by QF then why no ff points or SC's? I can understand why Deathstar's heavily discounted airfares do not attract ff points or SC's but cannot for the life of me understand the stance with AO. :? Another QF ripoff :?:

Edit: Include SYD-SIN on QF.

AO is supposedly serving leisure pax to leisure destinations. And we all know that leisure pax arent interested in points or status.

Of course this argument falls down on routes shared by AO and QF.

well the two rather nice FA's i had to myself in J on QF25 BNE-SYD seemed to be quite annoyed at qantas..

They seemed to think that AO would be absorbed into Jetstar Asia. The money being spent on the Jetstar brand name far outweighs that of AO.

Also something rather concerning and annoying is that Jetstar is taking over a lot of flights to NZ..

I was rather surprised that i wasn't able to book a flight from BNE-CHC on the qf site for next year.. It goes directly to the jetstar engine.. with the tickets being the same price as the qf fares for this year..

This is suspect.. I want to fly QF to nz.. I want the points and sc's and work will only pay for L.N,O,Q class tickets for overseas travel..

Why can't i book a connection?
Why would i have to book a seperate flight to SYD and then another booking to CHC?

This sucks..

I just got onto the Qantas website to attempt to book flights BNE-CHC and I picked a date Sunday 9/7/2006 returning Friday 14/7/2006 at random.

The Booking engine suggests flights out QF115 BNE-AKL and QF4153, QF4161 (jetconnect) AKL-CHC for $209. For return QF46 CHC-SYD and QF542, QF544, QF546, QF548, QF550, QF552, QF556 SYD-BNE for price range $209-$239. For other days there is also flight BNE-ZQN (Queenstown) and ZQN-CHC and returning also CHC-ZQN and ZQN-BNE.

I know no direct flight but still QF metal apart from jetconnect ( :?: ) but still has a QF flight number. I think you still earn SC's and ff points. Just a little more stuffing around.

Which month next year did you try? Jan, Feb seem pretty booked out only fully flexible and business class available but still QF metal. But all other months are OK. I haven't taken anything to booking stage but assume that all is OK. :!:

well.. it kinda works..

Not from the main front page, but from the specials page..
Bizarre..
