My goodness! All-Day Suckers card is right yohy! You're right too Greg, so weird, but then again, there must be a market for suckers out there.
Why people use debits cards is beyond me. You're liable for losses. Just get a freakin' nil-fee, $0 annual fee credit card! Crazy!
Even $0.50 to call in is a rip off, we already pay to make the phone call! I bet Macquarie Bank - the Millionaire Factory had a hand in setting this whole sham up, then again the accountants that run Jetstar aren't too clever either or that blindly evil like MB is being. Look it's so simple, educate the prospect BEFORE they decide to convert and sign up so they don't get the wrong product and end up having to call your support/after sales team.
You'd think companies go to cough when accountants and lawyers take over the operations, wait 'til you see marketing directed ones - this is their thinking 'Heck let's spend millions promoting the heck out of this coughpy product and get as many people signed up (oh and who cares if they're not the right/ideal customer and/or aren't going to be happy with it!) and we can all have our $200 a head daily lunches, parties, tropical island 'meetings' & conferences and annual bonuses etc etc. The CEO will be so happy to see first year revenues through the roof, but never mind we'll jump ship before it implodes!'
I thought the only pirates still around were in Somalia & Philippines!
Oh dear. I think the guys (yes it'd be guys) at Mac Bank must have all been like this at launch day: :mrgreen:
:evil::mrgreen:
:mrgreen::mrgreen::evil:
Heck this card is so bad, it'd even make me choose the GE Money managed 28Degrees MC one over it! Given the choice of the two evils. This is the worst of the two evils.
Thanks for posting this. Just when I thought Australian corporate managements couldn't get any dumber. I bet the uptake is less than 0.1% of existing Mac & Jetstar's customer database. They ought to just ditch this yesterday to save the embarrassment tomorrow. I can see the bogans swinging their beer stained Ed Hardy hats above their heads at Jetstar HQ as ACA and/or Today Tonight films the 'airline debit card rip off' kerfuffle.
