After getting rid of those Pesky WP with their anytime access *:p, Qantas has decided it's time to get more paying QP members and not give them priority check-in.

For 90 hours only, you are able to join the Qantas Club without paying the joining fee.

Unsure whether this is also applicable to any corporate rates, if so, then I'm quite annoyed, since it's a significant saving!

*btw, I don't actually agree with the removal of anytime access. Just being a prat just then

well there goes that argument (ie, 'removing anytime access is unavoidable ... it's simply too crowded' ... well it will be, once we bring in more fee-paying QPers!) :)

I feel like saying bugger, but I bought mine ages ago, so I’d never have been able to get in on this anyway. First I’ve heard of it though, so hopefully it’s not publicised enough for too many to get in on it :p

I can still remember the days when the Qantas Club was only for the fee paying members and not for frequent flyers or business class pax. It was nice and quiet, no crowds and great service. At least I still have my memories. :)

And you could get into a Domestic QP by only flashing your Blue Card

But we were still afflicted with the presence of those pesky Domestic First class passengers.:-|

:p

This has DJ competition written all over it!

Not a chance.

My 75 year old aunt who travels once a year on QF domestic received the email offer.

QF reeks of hypocrisy right now.

Perhaps the poster of the deal on ozBargain wasn't communicating clearly with his target audience :shock::p:mrgreen:
What, did none of you look at the username of the person who posted it on OzBargain ;)

OT: Most of the people on that community wouldn't know a bargain if it jumped up and bit them on the backside anyway. Most of them are stingy tech geeks, who think sharing information that amounts to stealing/insider information is a bargain. It wasn't like that even 12mths ago, and I'm doing my part to beat that, and other horrible habits out of the community.

Comment Red Roo? Anyway, it is increasingly clear (if not already) that QF is ONLY interested in its bottom line! What was delivered by the QF representative the other day was only QF spin....

Not necessarily. This is a 90th anniversary promotion, although not 90th anniversary of the QP, it’s still something they were probably thinking about for a while, or 18 months ago, and isn’t terribly big, after all it’s only 90 hours.

And don’t forget QF re-looked at the anytime access and amended it slightly.
