Joining and submitting points

Hi

My grandmother is here from Poland

She flew qantas from there to here and is leaving in a month

Is it still possible for her to get FF points for the trip (she is not a member yet)

I seem to recall something about QANTAS honouring boarding passes up to 30 days before taking out membership.

Might be more than that...

or 30 days from completion of travel?

She traveled here 3 months ago and is leavign in 1 month

Points for eligible flights undertaken up to thirty days before your enrolment date may be credited to your account. Forward by mail all original documentation, including boarding passes or ticket copies to the Frequent Flyer Service Centre.

So looks like she will only get points for the return flight.

and you cant do anything with the points for the one way trip

She might be lucky - just get her enrolled in QF FF program (with Poland address - no fees). Send all tickets and BPs. They might still give points. They do not seem to be very harsh.

She could get a free domestic ticket for her grandson David.

yeah that was the plan

I'm going to enrol her today

unfortunately i don't think she kept any of teh boarding passes

I'll enroll her and send her resivation number and the remainder of her tickets

Ok i have enrolled her.

I have her boarding passes from the 17th and 18th of november

Now, where do i send these?

also how do i put her frequent flyer number in her reservations? (do i need to call or can i do it online)

Also,
I read that bronze and above members can request upgrades upto 14 days before the flight,
Is there any point in trying?
its a 2pm flight from BNE to singapore
and there is also an 11pm flight from singapore to frankfurt

do you think there would be any chance?

Please call QF FF centre. They will give you a fax number or a mailing address where you can send the BPs and ticket. I usually send a covering letter with details of flight (# and date and time).

As for the future bookings, yes you can call reservations and ask them to put the number. Else, you can do at the time of check-in. I prefer the former as I hate to do many things when checking in.

As for the upgrade, would she have enough points from the outbound legs to get the BNE/SIN upgrade - and that's only assuming they got posted with time enough for use to use them???
