JQ 7/8 Mel/Pek

I'm looking forward to flying JQ 7/8 between Mel and Beijing (Pek) from 24 Nov. ... Anyone else considering using this new JQ service?

Not a flight that I'll be booking often, in fact a pretty awful flight if you ask me:

• no connections with QF from SIN to any Australian cities, so have to go to MEL first to fly up with JQ
• arrive into PEK after midnight (yuck)
• leave PEK about 2:30am (yucker)
• 11 1/2 hr layover in SIN on the way back

I do see it as a possible one-way heading to PEK, if the J price is right.

And expertflyer has JQ7 at running 15% on time - i.e. it's at least 15min late on 85% of the occasions in the past couple of months or so.
