JQ A320N New Fleet

Small sub fleet of A320N is coming through, looks like about half a dozen over the next few months.

Not sure where they are planning on flying these smaller buses.
There are 10 A320neos expected in total according to the latest Qantas results presentation.

I had heard they were going to replace the A320ceos that were never reconfigured a few years back. That was just a rumour though, so not sure how true it is.

The A320neos will also be configured with 188 seats up from 186. The extra two seats will practically be in the toilet.

Don't know if I'm a huge fan of the flat grey livery rolling out on newer deliveries. I get why they are doing it but the metallic silver looks so much better.

I agree. However if you ever get a closeup look at a 787s, up real close the current paint looks terrible. The amount of patches is quite significant. From a distance not so bad.

The 787s are crying out for a new paint job.

As far as I can tell, the A320neo is scheduled to enter service in mid-December and will be based out of Melbourne.

Currently scheduled for 2 daily round trips to Hobart and 1 each to Sydney and Brisbane.

I wonder if they opted for the larger bins and mood lighting? I note Air New Zealand and Scoot opted for the standard Airbus config on the 320N.

31 and 1/3 rows, interesting to see what r32 looks like, could be looking after the back oven on take off.
