Website + call centre both collapsing under the pressure. Website mostly redirects to an error message. Call centre usually goes to a busy signal. Otherwise, the wait is 30 minutes plus.

Happened last night as well when JetMail subscribers got the email in advance.

Oh well, managed to snag one 2-for-1 fare so far...

In e-business terms, it's called fulfillment (or in this case, lack thereof).

The site is pretty much in permanent mode of:

"We're experiencing very high levels of demand on our web site at the moment.

Please come back in 60 seconds and try your search again.

Alternatively, please try again in about 5 minutes."

A few comments about these fares;
1. Very hard to use website due to timeouts. OK in the middle of the night.
2. Fare rules say $7.50-$10 per person per sector service fee for most payment methods. POLi OK - no fee. I used Amex for one of mine (MEL-HBA-MEL) and was slugged $28 per person which contradicts their fare rules.
3. Near impossible to get to their call centre to fix it.

Caveat emptor.

Anyone for another JQ35/SYD F-Lounge/Weekend in Melbourne jaunt in February next year :)?

$250 for BNE-SYD-MEL-BNE for two pax is pretty damn cheap.

i think we should have one to mark the first anniversary of ATA removal ;)

but im already scratched as ill be on a quick rtw trip at that time :(

That's very promising. Is that all non-earning? Or does it include an upgrade to Plus?

Nah that was all non-earning ... just picked some random dates in the valid period, 18th Feb down and 19th Feb back.

We'd have to be quick if we are going to organise something, the sale ends tonight.

Unfortunately I reckon I'll pass for now, sorry.

Have a luncheon to attend on the Gold Coast in February 2012 with several former co-workers, and was lucky enough to pick up 3 partner fares. Not bad, $207 plus cc fee for six pax one way SYD-OOL. However, it took a considerable time with the same message being received about 'high level of demand' etc, and then had to do it three times, but got there in the end. DJ suited us better coming back as the companion fare departed about 7am.

Mrs Belly and younger son booked to Dps total price $872 not bad
in mid oct missed out on MH specials

Picked up 2-1 PER-MEL return with the missus for about $100 each way 5 minutes before the end of the sale. Pretty happy with that.

Now just waiting for the ticket to arrive. How long do you generally have to wait for a JQ ticket to arrive?

I think you did pretty well to even get onto the web site. As usual it was a no go zone from here.

I wonder how many bookings (and therefore $$$) they actually lose with this cruddy web site?

I did have trouble trying to get onto the site even before the sale was released to the general public.

I agree, there are some features that do need working on. I have contact JQ on Twitter re: the wait time for the itinerary, now just waiting to here back from them.

I picked up SYD DPS rtn in Oct as well...
Had to restart the booking 3 times after losing the dates between select flights and payment... all up $918 including $40 service fee  atleast its the same price across paypal, amex and visa.. so the MR points help ease that pain..

How have people been going getting these tickets of JQ in light of the recent developments?
