JQ J sale

No points or SCs... no go

Agree 100%. You'd be far better off booking Y (during an appropriate sale) and adding a plus bundle. Then you'd get QF FF points, a meal and whatever.

Bit of a con job really...

Add a max bundle and the price totally price doubles!

They should have a max lite bundle, so you can still get SC and points without the other stuff.

They call it J and that's about all, done the SYD/HNL/SYD on JQ in "J" a year ago got all points paid $2150.

Just booked QA in Y same destination.

Starclass was a more apt description.
It is a Domestic J seat, most equivalent to an international PE seat.

But Scoot does the same with its Biz class.

.

If the person in front puts the seat all the way back it becomes very cramped.

Spot on, was talking to a Qantas Pilot he said (tongue in cheek) they call it NO CLASS :(

Our QA booking SYD/HNL/SYD is in Y is with exit seats was still cheaper than Y on JQ inc. points.

Well I just booked MEL-BKK-MEL in Jan row 1 seats reserved. It was a no brainer, only $150 more than Y (with baggage, food, etc.). The no status credits and no points doesn't bother me. The cheapest Y fares on Thai were more than this and you don't earn FF points on those either. I don't know anyone who would turn down the extra space jut because you don't earns SCs or points. It is not priced as J and I don't expect J do the name doesn't bother me. Especially when actual J seats are 3 times the price on Thai.
