Hey,
Just had an odd experience with JQ in AKL.
I had a QF cash booking which incorporated a Jetstar flight from AKL to RAR (first leg was a QF flight with no issues two days earlier)
At the check in, I was advised that there is an outstanding balance of 0.61 NZD, which I have to pay to be able to get checked in.
I was a bit puzzled, but didn’t want to make a scene, especially not over such minor dollar amount.
Today I did check our return flight (seperate booking, JQ flight booked with QF points) and I saw in the MMB overview that there is an open balance of 1.06 AUD, but no payment option.
I did contact Jetstar via the chat and the agent did waive this balance, but I still have no clue why this happened.
To be clear, I don’t want to whinge about the 61 cents, but I want to understand how this can happen.
It was not the first time I had JQ bookings on a QF ticket and never ever I had to pay at check in.
