JQ sale fares (not)!

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Are you saying that the business fares with Max bundle become $400 cheaper when the sale ends, or that you buy the sale fares then add the max bundle later?

Sorry, I meant that once a sale is over, the base fare increases but at the same time the max bundle cost decreases. They both must be purchased together at the same time to allow the fare to be refundable. So depending on the dates these non sale max fares can work out a little cheaper than in sale times. You may add a max bundle later but you lose the ability of the fare to be refundable, though the other perks remain.

Hmm.. I would only be interested in purchasing the max bundle for the SCs and possibly lounge access anyway.

Anyone know how much it would actually cost to add a plus bundle after booking a business sale fare - would it still cost the extra if you added it once the sale finished?

Its essentially a rebooking, so you have to pay the fare at contact centre rates plus change fees if not J plus the bundle price.

Geez, bundles, unbundle and what you get and a sale price that really isn't.

Sounds too hard to use Jetstar for me anyway

I was looking at the same as well, thought great, business fares are fairly cheap but then the bundle goes from $200 up to $700 when there is a discount.

Noticed that for Y fares, the bundle doesn't jump when there is a sale for Y fares. But then again you pay the price of having to sit Y long haul in JQ.

Also anyone tried to book two tickets before but with only one that has the max bundle?

Yes, not an issue and very convenient when you only need a certain amount of SCs to requalify.

Excellent, heading to DPS with a friend and he's keen to fly J but not want to pay for the Bundle where I prefer to get the SC's to maintain SG.
