So first time back in JQ for a few years (to MCY on points). Did they shrink the pitch compared to a few years back? More seats? Overall it was a very efficient and positive experience for a LCC but the blurred lines between QF and JQ really seem to trash the premium brand.

Flew from MCY on Friday and I thought the seats had shrunk too.

The seat in front was almost touching my head and I'm tiny. How other people fit in I don't know.

JQ are currently adding an extra 3 seats to the A320s taking the seat count from 177 to 180.

I always think the seats have shrunk on any a/c. I suspect it may be the opposite problem (non-shrinking waistline).

I run into the same problem as well, even on other carriers such as CX and SQ. And that is even knowing the fact that the config has not changed...

I take a small saw so that I can cut a belly sized chunk out of the tray table

I find the seat sizing is inversely proportional to the time spent beforehand in the QP after the bar has been opened.

And I recently discovered that trousers shrink on exposure to sea air on cruises.
But my knees are definitely closer to the seat in front on JQ.
