Is there any update on the other events (e.g. DC-3 and Sunday)?

When / Where do we meet?
How much will it cost?

Will the markis10 bus be running? If so, can I please book a seat ;)

I will be in the CBD/Crown/HSW or anywhere else convenient to meet Sat prior to travelling to MEB for the DC3 flight if there is anyone else not on the F Lounge run.

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

I've got a car going from the HOTP.

Greg.

I am still on the fence about the F Lounge run. As previously posted I have a work function on Friday (late night, beverages, etc).

If coming from the city for the DC-3 flight I would be happy to cab pool, or ask Greggsy very nicely for a lift (if there are any seats left).

PS - I am now in MEL and it is colder than SIN. QLD-types may I suggest you bring/wear a jumper/jacket.

Only go to Day games ... and I have had many a lounge run ... 'specially back when *Class was $230 ... ;)

Harder to drink your fare, but a cheap[ish] 40SCs :p

Well, I am checked in. Hopefully "I just need a BP reprint" will work for both flights in MEL.

Seats are ATS -
JQ36: 40J/K
JQ35: 31J/K

Please may I have a seat. I too am staying at HOTP on Saturday night.

Done! All seats taken (Sorry Penegal)

That shows a distinct lack of commitment - putting sport ahead of an AFF day out! ;)

I'm going to the game too, but commitment is still attending the weekend given the Reds have made the Super 15 quarter-finals in Brissy!

checked in for JQ35 44D it is, now to work on that boarding pass and an orange sticker

Finally got things sorted after a busy work week and some real issues with some of the events that has resulted in a large pone bill trying to sort.

Schedule

Saturday
JQ lounge run tomorrow - not sure when most will be there but aiming to be at checkin at 6, and Sydney around 12.
DC3 Flight - 95% certain it won't go ahead, despite the cancellations I paid the difference to make it happen but apparently there is a serviceability issue that's dependant on a part arriving Saturday, DC3 Charter Australia are letting me know around midday.
Saturday Night 6/7 PM- Meet a mod at HSW Lounge - Lindsay and myself TBC??

Sunday
10.30 at the Airways Mueseum ( they came to the party - this museum is hard to get into to).
Lunch TBA - JB747 has had to cancel due to commitments again so similar to last time I expect.
Afternoon tour - Point Cook flying display 1 PM - The Interactive Flying Displays feature a heritage aircraft in flight and may include an aerobatic display. Regular aircraft featured include the Winjeel, Harvard, CT4A, Sopwith Pup replica and Tiger Moth. Visiting aircraft, such as the DC3, Bird Dog or even a modern PC-9 are sometimes featured.

The airport tour was up in the air until late this afternoon, unfortunately no ASIC no go at MEL for all participants and it's too late to organise temp ones. Thanks to Jessicatam for the work on the fire/ rescue side to get a tour, same result (no go), which is sad as thee folks do a great job and it's not always visible.

I would like to apologise for not having a more comprehensive program, despite two goes it appears some things are not meant to be. I will organise refunds for those who kept the faith via the ticket site as I am not going to try again (once my funds are returned should the DC3 not happen) and also for the lunch, one good thing is the deposit won't be lost which would have been the case had we cancelled with the numbers dropping.

I will be online tomorrow so feel free to PM me questions or if you are trying to hook up with the group.

It is disappointing when it doesn't come together especially when you've done so much work.

Just in case the DC3 flight goes ahead (slim chance I know) where and when should we meet?

And for Sunday morning can you please let us know the address of the
10.30 at the Airways Mueseum ( they came to the party - this museum is hard to get into to).

Finally, what is HSW's attitude to HHonors diamonds staying at HOTP visiting on Saturday night?

I'll check back during the day tomorrow and will see what's happening.

Hope to catch up with you tomorrow.

Bugger... Thanks for all your time and effort markis10, I'm sure it wasn't an easy event to arrange.

Unfortunately we're out now, we'll do a day trip to MEL and check out the Virgin lounge but on the upside we'll make it back to see the Reds play the Shorks (Sharks pronounced with a South African accent) in Brissy.

If anyone wants 1 x Adult & 1 x Child ticket to the Pies v Hawks game, please let me know, free to a good home.

Greg.
