Finally got things sorted after a busy work week and some real issues with some of the events that has resulted in a large pone bill trying to sort.
Schedule
Saturday
JQ lounge run tomorrow - not sure when most will be there but aiming to be at checkin at 6, and Sydney around 12.
DC3 Flight - 95% certain it won't go ahead, despite the cancellations I paid the difference to make it happen but apparently there is a serviceability issue that's dependant on a part arriving Saturday, DC3 Charter Australia are letting me know around midday.
Saturday Night 6/7 PM- Meet a mod at HSW Lounge - Lindsay and myself TBC??
Sunday
10.30 at the Airways Mueseum ( they came to the party - this museum is hard to get into to).
Lunch TBA - JB747 has had to cancel due to commitments again so similar to last time I expect.
Afternoon tour - Point Cook flying display 1 PM - The Interactive Flying Displays feature a heritage aircraft in flight and may include an aerobatic display. Regular aircraft featured include the Winjeel, Harvard, CT4A, Sopwith Pup replica and Tiger Moth. Visiting aircraft, such as the DC3, Bird Dog or even a modern PC-9 are sometimes featured.
The airport tour was up in the air until late this afternoon, unfortunately no ASIC no go at MEL for all participants and it's too late to organise temp ones. Thanks to Jessicatam for the work on the fire/ rescue side to get a tour, same result (no go), which is sad as thee folks do a great job and it's not always visible.
I would like to apologise for not having a more comprehensive program, despite two goes it appears some things are not meant to be. I will organise refunds for those who kept the faith via the ticket site as I am not going to try again (once my funds are returned should the DC3 not happen) and also for the lunch, one good thing is the deposit won't be lost which would have been the case had we cancelled with the numbers dropping.
I will be online tomorrow so feel free to PM me questions or if you are trying to hook up with the group.
