Just got bumped Qantas Business Hobart to Sydney to a middle seat on Jetstar!

Were you on QF1012?

If yes, therein lies the problem with QF and their dodgy HBA schedule.....Its the last QF flight for the day

SO I guess you are lucky to even have QF Flying to HBA. Check out NCL, or OOL. Expect JQ to be even more prevailant in your city, because the market cannot sustain constant full service. They wont dump it all together, because after all, it is a capital, but dont expect the same frequency soon.

If I was to assume the graphic has only been published here then it would have been nice to see AFF get a mention, but not surprising that its not mentioned at all. While there is a lot of discussion here about various topics, there is no doubt our members are resourceful and creative as well as being knowledgeable, unlike a lot of the press!

I'm giving Crikey the benefit of the doubt and assuming that our member (The OP) has contacted them and given permission for them
to use it but it's still a bit cheeky to "claim' copyright on behalf of the artist, unless of course they (the OP) gave them that permission as well.

Platinum is worth jack in this airline.

If you were on the flight to Melbourne, connecting onwards to Sydney, they were probably doing what the could to ensure you made the connection. It may well have been that JQ was the only option available to do that. (Qantas have flicked me onto Rex before to make a connection, and I had to line up as well)

So, may have been an unfortunate set of circumstances that resulted in the occurrence. And, yes, probably could have been handle better.

(this is my first post, I'm searching the internet for places to vent!)

Prseumably Crikey was one of the places that you vented

That is correct - I've had a good yarn with Ben at Plane Talking this morning

Just to give you an update, I spoke to Qantas this morning and they are offering a refund of points from business to economy. Essentially they're saying that jetstar economy is the same as Qantas economy

One of those annoying things about the whole Jetstar thing. The cost of an award ticket is certainly the same. However, the in flight experience is not.

Thanks for the update, glad to see that you will at least get some points back,by the way I do hope my comments don't come across as
having a go at you for talking to Crikey-certainly didn't mean that, and I also don't blame you for being less than impressed with being bumped to
an LCC when you paid with points for a business seat.

Cannot blame Crikey about a failure to credit a source when they spoke to the source! Glad to see its getting some coverage, its a pretty raw deal!

Easily fixed-just post a comment on plane talking similar to "This story first appeared on The Australian Frequent Flyer Forum' and post a link to the thread.

Sad to hear that with all the competition faced by Qantas some staff are still sabotaging their customer service.
