Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

Hi there all, as someone who has been lurking for a long time, it was so much fun to actually read (most) of this thread.
I am very much a "each to their own" sort of person, yet I still do get the displeasure experienced by some due to fellow passengers, or lounge visitors, being completely under-dressed. I personally have not seen this so much in QF lounges, but have seen some shockers in my time.
But truthfully, I hate more the guy in a suit talking loud on his mobile, than the quiet person in basic clothes with tatts.
What I do not (and do not wish to) understand is all this talk about "Lalique" - must be a thing in richer persons worlds :)

Welcome on board, the black ship.
Love your handle!

PSA for anyone visiting the Noosa Surf Club.

Might be a can of worms, but no swimwear at a surf club? What’s the world coming to! 😉

Wet swim wear, ugh!
Edit: for Matt_01, are the smooth touch, ie, now the rough feel sort of fabric?
Its not on sale on their website, so must be a coveted item, and limited in numbers produced.
Yah, look at me... the neck wear is giving me nightmares, so to speak.

AP, am a tad confused. I welcome your welcome if I was the "black ship" you refer to. But I am a sheep, not a ship. It is a handle that I have attained through vast life experience. Gained in just years. My photo perhaps reflects my true essence. I want to be engaged but there are barriers.
My paws are not too good at typing on smartphone or laptop.

I only buy marked down meat from Coles and Woolworths. Why pay full price for $30 meat when you can get it for $2?

Why pay for it at all?

Coles have a "if it scans wrong price, its free". I get free meat at least 2-3 times a month from local Coles, they are really slack about updating specials.

ALWAYS check the price of all specials at the cash register. Probably saved nearly $200 since early December just on meat. They fall down on other stuff too.

I've had cases where:

Loud Phonecall Guy (tm)

and

Tattooed, bemulleted guy in rubber thongs and a Bintang singlet..

Are the same guy.

Is that the worst case scenario?

I'm with you. Had no idea who or what that was.

This is an objectionable person, but it is the loud phone call that makes him objectionable. I doubt his phone etiquette would be any different if he were not dressed in holiday clothes. Incidentally, the dress code is silent on haircuts and tattoos.

All this discussion does remind me of Basil Fawlty fawning over Lord Melbury.

Agreed. I feel an assault on the sense of hearing is more aggravating than one on sight.

Young family with two small children come into Sydney first class lounge
Mum promptly puts two children onto separate iPads /tablets to watch XYZ without any form of headphones.
Dad meanders off to the other corner and takes a video call again without any form of earphones etc. Mum gets settled and rings a friend
That is annoying to me . They are all well attired, children themselves are sitting quietly but all four are giving significant impact on the noise level in the area .
