Can we buy VA domestic flights but credit KF points?

You can, earn rate here.

Generally expensive short flights better to VA, cheap long flights to KF.

Without status:
If discount economy fare, equation goes .... If (#miles/2) > (3.7*price paid), then better to KF, otherwise better to Velocity (3.7 = 5 points per dollar/transfer rate to KF which is 1.35,
If full economy fare, equation goes ...If (#miles) > (3.7*price paid) then better to KF.
If business, equation goes .... If (2x#miles) > (3.7*price paid) then better to KF.

With status with VA, can't think of too many times where it would be better to credit to KF, with the status bonus in play.

Excellent reply....thanks. I'm VA platinum, but someone suggested to my wife that if we want to redeem for suites, it's better to accrue in KF points rather than VA and suffer the transfer hit. So it seems that advice was a bit too generalised. The same source has also suggested that KF suites AU to EU was 220 000 KF return! I thought it was something like 180 000 each way?

Is there any lists of the cost of KF points to different destinations I can download? Or a matrix to use? I have been trying to find one but all I could find was for upgrades.
