King Charles flight

Oh, I just saw where you mentioned about him being frugal and the BA charter and thought you were alluding to the Brits having to pay for the trip.

Nah, don’t forget he’s our King too 😉

The whole climate change thing etc - not wanting to be a bother.

I realise having a non-Australian Head of State is a bit silly but the cost of transporting and entertaining him for a few weeks every so often is a tiny fraction of how much it would cost to run a domestic President
Let the crown pay for the crown and taxpayers for other things. It will be millions of dollars in total. Waste of money for a vanity trip.

On reflection, a fairer comparison would be running the GG plus the King's visits. So not a tiny fraction but a fraction nonetheless. The UK taxpayer is subsidising most of the Australian Head of State costs.

Ironically Brooklyn used to be called Kings after his predecessor, Charles II. The adjacent Queens was named after his wife and that name remains.

It’s actually a Rugby League team.

There’s a difference.

But one thing they have in common is that if you kick at goal and miss, you don’t get a point for missing. 😉
I don't think either of us specified whether league or union. For me, it's because I don't give a damn about either. 😂.

Notice there are a number of flights inbound to SYD doing circuits in various holding locations while ASY352 is getting a relatively direct approach.

But … surely … there’s a HUGE difference between expensive private school thug bullies and housing commission thug bullies?! I mean they both deal drugs, just to different clientele.

not surprising.
Last Saturday we were driving through Melbourne CBD and got to intersection in Southbank and were next for lights when a bunch of police arrived and blocked the intersection in all directions.
Everyone sat there patiently for over 10 minutes until a convoy of black limos, a bus and multiple escort bikes went past and everything got back to normal. Figured out later it would have been the Greek Orthodox Patriarch and entourage coming in to the city.

Reckon the highway patrol guys must love these gigs more than anything.
