I used Citi Visa rather than Amex Ultimate,Westpac Amex Platinum Kris Flyer or Amex Platinum Velocity because it is quite a bit cheaper since about October 1st.
If you use your calculator you will see the cost is less than half at the moment.

Well Tired Old Flyer that was me on the Tax Office phone line this morning.....133,973 points for $480 .....now that is so sweet using a Visa card for Kris points.
I would love you to tell us on the blog about Asiana and others that you use as being an old accountant I tend to follow Grounghog Day methods.
Ask your tax accountant politely for champagne and chocolates for the tip you gave him because every time you try to call him he will be travelling!

Cannot help much here Cove all of our International in the last few years has been on SIN. Have often looked at booking on others with not much
joy. Did swap some points for cash with AMEX a couple of years ago to fly with Emirates when they had a special in their suites only to have a metal
change on the return to a very old a/c.
Mrs Toff is very one -eyed and insists on SIN particularly as they looked after us during the Volcano episode very well. ( together with a bad experience on
an Australian International Airline a few years ago )
By the way I am also an old accountant. And yes I rang my accountant and yes he is away !

You got me laughing when you replied saying your accountant was away. Put the champagne and chocolates request on hold pending his return.
Mrscove was very happy with Singapore Airlines for London and Los Angeles but she still gets me to look at Qantas first. She accepts that SQ is available and Qantas is tough for international travel.
With Singapore Air we booked First for the London Olympics and it was so easy I was totally surprised.

Hi guys. Being a newbie, I am keen to learn how to get more SC points. Can someone direct me to a thread please .
No specific thread but just use your imagination.

If you are travelling SYD/MEL-PER then look at going SYD/MEL-ADL-PER which is not that much more but earns more SCs.

Another example is if flying SYD-BKK regularly then look to break this up to something like SYD-PER-SIN-BKK and return.

You would be surprised how quickly the SCs add up....
