I'm not sure what to make of this.

They have a management team, AOC and a plan for a fleet 737MAX aircraft.

They acquired Desert Air Safaris in 2019 and have rebranded to Koala Airlines using a LCC model with a "more innovative route".

Prospective low-cost operator Koala Airlines aims to enter the highly challenging Australian market in an attempt to take on incumbents with a “fundamentally” different strategy.

The Melbourne-headquartered operator says it is “finalising negotiations to acquire a fleet that will enable our Air Operator’s Certificate to be upgraded with the new aircraft type”.

Regional only (Bonza): FAIL
Pick up the dregs "value carrier" (Rex): FAIL

My guess; they'll definitely make a small fortune if they put plans into action (to take from the old aviation joke).
