Krisflyer miles refunds - Taking forever! Anyone else with this problem?

Can anyone confirm if SQ has "changed" (cancelled) 1 or more of your flights on itinerary (or even downgraded your cabin) and they have stated that you have the right to cancel your award without penalty, are those points reinstated with a new 36 month timer reset? Or do they retain their old expiry date? I note that another member on this thread one page back has had their miles extended by 6-9 months - is that inline with the existing points expiry or is that a new policy?

I’ve got two trips in the former camp and given the complete mess that is the Manila call centre, I’d rather just reset them and book with another airline at this stage.

I have the same issue. Request to cancel my flights in January 2022 3 months ago ..... Still hasn't got the points and taxes back.

Great question Gold Member! Having endured several phone calls with Phillipines Airlines (excuse me, I mean Singapore Airlines), I can confirm that if they cancel/irrops an award flight whereby the miles will be zeroed due to 36 month expiry, they will extend them for another 6 months. However the extension is not automatic and you must call them to have them reinstated.
