Krisflyer points flight cancellation

I have a flight to LHR that I might need to cancel.

I know that points will be refunded and that charges/taxes less cancellation fee will be refunded. I cant find any reference as to WHEN the latest date for cancellation is acceptable. I'm thinking 24 hours? 48 hours?

I have no experience in canning Krisflyer awards, but it seems that any time before checking in may be the go.
