I had flights booked last Thursday afternoon with a stopover in Melbourne. As you can imagine, I was pretty worried about stopping over in Melbourne, even though a transit didn’t require self-isolation at my destination. Half an hour after the lockdown was announced, VA called me to tell me they’d rebooked me on flights going via Sydney instead. Best of all, they’d honoured the four upgrades for me and my travelling partner, even though the business cabins on both legs ended up being completely full.
I’m really impressed with the speed, initiative, and efficiency of the customer service team. I didn’t have to do a thing.
