We are human beings. Of the same species. I'm glad the questions at least get asked.
You know that means nothing.

I wish people would try and change Japan, China and India first before moving on to the rest of the world.

Maybe when you pass through the immi process, they'll play YMCA & In The Navy on repeat & if you dance, you're out!

But whatever people choose to do behind closed doors with other consenting adult/s should be up to them.

Well I'm in trouble if they ask if I have been to a Village People concert.

As long as they aren't wearing a jacket, they'll be fine!

I thought that was really odd, and perhaps shows he hasn't actually flown. It gets cold in planes, and you quite often want to look your best (perhaps not on JQ), so you're inevitably going to have the wrong attire on and want to take it off, but not have anywhere to put it/don't want to crease it etc... I was wearing a hoody in ROK and MKY today, it was hot on the tarmac, but cold in the lounge and plane. Had that guy been hanging around he'd have thought I was smuggling drugs, when in reality I'm just smart :p

I've not been watching the doco - what does wearing a jacket have to do with it?

It means you're a drug runner because it's 40deg outside. If you run the falcon takes off and plucks your eyes out.

no it's not that bad, I just couldnt see the sophistication in the screening process.

I think your point is valid JohnK, and you can certainly avoid countries where you find their cultural mores to be offensive.

And this particular issue would not be a blip on the radar, except for the fact that Qantas has entered into a major alliance where you are required to travel into that country in order to get to Europe if flying on Q flights. And as a friend found out due to flight delay, you can't even reassure yourself that it's just a stopover as a missed connection meant she had to enter the country.

Then a very large percentage of Emirati travellers will have a problem travelling between their own countries!

In Australia, overlooking such an important issue is called "unintended consequences". ie "we didn't have our brains in order when we made that decision".

... And I think gay marriage should be allowed too. Why should heterosexuals get all the grief?
